Developed by Temtec's Chief Scientist Dr. David Haas, TEMPbadge products use a patented Visually Changing Paper (VCP) technology that utilizes coating and printing capabilities to create materials that reveal a message, color or design after a specified time period. Specifically, a chemical reaction causes the badge to be visibly altered in its appearance either through a changed color (i.e. white to red) or by the appearance of slanted red lines to indicate the void status of the badge. The badges can be engineered to expire within hours, or after a day, week or month and designs are available for visitors, vendors, temporary employees and contractors.
