Temkin Helps Clients Go Green With Biodegradable Film
Payson, UT, January 31, 2008 - Temkin International, Inc. has extended its eco-friendly offerings, allowing customers to order products made with a new biodegradable film, BioCPP. While BioCPP is better for nature, it's also better for seal strength, wrinkle resistance, and shelf life than other eco-friendly films. This addition comes as a continuation of Temkin's ongoing commitment to maintain a healthy environment for the benefit of future generations.
BioCPP retains many of the characteristics of traditional cast polypropylene (CPP) film and can be used to make a variety of Temkin's popular flat and side-weld products
including flat bags, handle bags, cone bags, header bags, sheets, sleeves, rolls, and more.
The decomposition of BioCPP is initiated by contact with microorganisms found abundantly in soil, landfill, and compost environments. BioCPP products break down into
mineral and organic compounds with or without the presence of oxygen and leave no toxic residue. Since this process does not utilize heat, light, or physical stress, BioCPP will not break down during storage.
Temkin's dedication to environmental sustainability and the preservation of natural resources is evident in every step from the selection of raw materials to product development and manufacturing practices. The use of bio-friendly inks, fully recyclable and biodegradable films, in-house water treatment, and extensive recycling programs are a few of the ways Temkin shows its devotion to meeting the packaging needs of today while preserving our natural resources for tomorrow.
Established in 1980, Temkin International, Inc. has become a leading manufacturer of flexible film packaging in the United States. Headquartered in Utah, the company has
