Three Stage 30 Foot Telescoping Light Mast Mounted on a 14' Single Axle Trailer with Wheels Released by Larson Electronics

Industrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics has announced the release of a three stage 30 foot telescoping light mast with 360° rotating capabilities. The LM-30-3S-EW-TLR is a fold over light mast that provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other equipment to elevations of thirty feet.

The LM-30-3S-EW-TLR produced by Larson Electronics features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use, and an easy fold over assembly for transportation and storing. The entire assembly is mounted onto a 14’ single axle trailer, allowing operators to transport this fold over boom from one location to another. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a lower section 12’ in length and 4” by 4” by 1/8” thick, middle section 9.5’ in length and 3” by 3” by 1/8” thick, and an upper section 8.5’ in length and 2” by 2” by 1/8” thick. Each section has a 1’ overlap. This light boom can be extended to a height of 30 feet for effective coverage and collapsed to 13.5 feet. The mast is elevated using an included 1,000 pound rated electric winch with 3/16” galvanized steel cable and extended to its full height using a second 1,000 pound electric winch. The 360° rotation is provided by a single T-Handle. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. It can be locked into place once the desired position is found by tightening the T-Handle.

This light mast is mounted to a 14’ by 6’, single axle trailer via six ½” anchor bolts. The two wheel trailer is equipped with 5,400 lbs. axle and leaf springs with 15” tires. The trailer can support and haul an additional 3,500 lbs. of equipment. A standard 2” ball coupling, two standard safety chains, and 4-pin flat trailer plug allow for easy hookup and towing. This trailer features a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. Four 1,000 lbs. hand crank leveling jacks are used for leveling. The jacks can be leveled by hand crank or an attachment provided for power drills. These outriggers can be extended 2’ out from the side of the trailer for added stability. When lowered to 13.5’, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 miles per hour. This light tower assembly weighs approximately 1,200 lbs. and can easily support and lift 150 pounds of weight.

“As a manufacturer, Larson Electronics can custom tailor these light tower units to customer specifications with longer sections and larger mounting plates,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “These trailer mounted masts are a great source for temporary lighting applications as well as for construction sites and security camera deployments.”
