New Ultra-Thin Telescopic Cabinet Rails from Elma Electronic
FREMONT, California, Aug. 08, 2005 - Elma Electronic Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic packaging products, announces new ultra-thin telescopic rail for 19" cabinets supports 84HP sub racks up to 90 Kg.
The latest telescopic rails from Elma Electronic feature a rugged, ultra-thin 7 mm wide construction that enables full size 84HP wide sub-racks to be mounted in 19" cabinets. The roller-assisted rails are designed to meet MIL standards, and are rated to 90 Kg dynamic loading per pair, with up to 566 mm extension. For safety, the rails may be locked at full extension. The telescopic rails also feature adjustable mounting brackets to suit cabinet depths from 582 mm to 1001 mm, with the standard fixing kits and closed fixing holes ensuring secure mounting in high density applications such as AdvancedTCA, COTS and other demanding Telecom and Defense projects.
The zinc plated steel construction and roller assisted motion match the proven 60 Kg family of telescopic rails from Elma Electronic, and provide low friction without the need for any additional lubrication. The 7 mm thickness enables standard 84HP sub racks to be fitted into unmodified cabinets, whereas conventional heavy-duty rails have limited the sub-rack to a reduced 81HP width.
These new rails have been designed for maximum reliability, with 100 pullouts guaranteed at the full 90 Kg load. Ease of use and safety are also provided with a rating of up to 8 pullouts per minute. Testing is underway for full MIL approval.
