Telepo Licenses Fixed-Mobile Convergence Solutions to Leading Telecom Provider

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, February 8/-Telepo today announce that Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has licensed from Telepo its next-generation Business Communication Solution, solving the converged multimedia and real-time communication needs of enterprises with rapidly growing mobile workforces.

This will initially bring Ericsson's new generation Enterprise Mobility Gateway to the market, targeting fixed and mobile operators rolling out integrated enterprise services over current and future networks.

Telepo's innovative business communication solutions have been specifically developed to enable mobility for users. Central to its design is ease of use, with an intuitive user interface and single identity. This enables a consistent service offering across locations and devices, such as mobile phones, softphones on PC's, VoIP clients, IP phones and other desktop devices. Telepo's solutions are built on Linux and open IETF standards, such as SIP, HTTP and LDAP to offer interoperability with a wide range of endpoint devices, legacy systems and other business applications - now and in the future.

Lars-Michael Paqvalen, CEO of Telepo, says: "The industry is on the verge of a drastic shift from device-centric communication to true user-centric solutions. The collaboration with Ericsson brings even further support to Telepo's focus on rich, customisable, user-friendly and open standards based business communication solutions."

With the mobility gateway installed, business workers can use their mobile devices as highly-capable extensions of their corporate communications network while on the move. With traditional mobile phones, users have access to typical PBX functions such as conference calling and call forwarding, normally available only on the desk phone. Using Telepo's Mobile+ and Softphone+ clients, a smart phone, dual-mode mobile/WiFi phone or a Softphone+ laptop computer further enhance the user experiences with directory search, presence information, (instant) messaging, click to dial, remote management, soft buttons and dynamic least-cost routing and SIP-based services. The mobility gateway thereby works as a multimedia upgrade for legacy PBX systems.

"This strengthens and enforces Telepo's role as a leading and independent provider of business communication solutions. In addition, it enables us to further expand our support for different operating systems and platforms", says Lars-Michael Paqvalen.

The new solution will be showcased during the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona (February 12-15, 2007) at Telepo's stand 2J40.
