Telemetrics Displays Innovative Broadcast Solutions at IBC

High-Performance, Durable and Flexible Products, Designed to Meet Demanding Broadcast Requirements

Rai, Amsterdam  - At this year’s IBC, Telemetrics is demonstrating new and proven products that showcase a commitment to innovation and can drastically improve the quality and performance of new and existing live production facilities. With a range of products including elevating pedestals, camera control systems, curved tracks, all-in-one robotic camera systems and more, Telemetrics is committed to meeting the demands of today’s broadcast and production professionals with high-performance systems that provide tremendous value.

“Our continually growing portfolio demonstrates Telemetrics’ dedication to serving the needs of production studios of all sizes, including those where budgetary considerations are as important as product performance,” said Anthony Cuomo, President, Telemetrics. “Our range of products has been developed to offer end users maximum flexibility, versatility, function and value when used in studio, remote and web broadcasting applications.”

Featured products Telemetrics will demonstrate at IBC include:

The new Telemetrics EP6 Mini elevating pedestal represents an exciting addition to the widely successful Telemetrics line of elevating pedestals, featuring many standard features of the EP6 family that makes the EP6 Mini the ideal product for smaller robotic camera applications including broadcast news flash studios, corporate production and distance learning lecture halls.

The new EP6 Mini comes in two sizes and is available in Ceiling, Track and Floor Dolly configurations. It is perfectly matched with Telemetrics’ RoboEye™ Robotic Camera, RCCP-1 Control System, studio dolly kit, TG4M Teleglide camera track system, thirdparty virtual set systems and PTZ heads from Sony, Panasonic and Canon.

The professional grade Telemetrics RoboEye™ integrated HD camera/robotic PTZ delivers HD imaging and high-end robotics performance in a fully integrated, costeffective package. Designed for broadcasters, the RoboEye’s weather-tight housing contains a broadcast quality HD-SDI Sony Exmor 2.18-megapixel camera with a 30X optical zoom. The RoboEye achieves sensitivity levels of F8 at 2,000 lux, includes web video and control, and supports virtual and augmented reality systems. The RoboEye requires minimal setup and is ready to work right out of the box.

RoboEye’s advanced electronic interface includes a web-server enabling users to access video and control using a web-enabled device. Alternatively, the camera can be remotely controlled over an Ethernet connection or via RS-232C/422. A USB port is also included. The RoboEye camera integrates with Telemetrics’ comprehensive line of robotic camera systems including control panels/software, camera track and trolley systems, wall mount systems, elevating tripod systems, device servers and coax/fiber camera systems.

The new TeleGlide TG4M is the latest addition to Telemetrics’ highly versatile TeleGlide Camera Track System Line. The light, versatile TG4M uses a newly designed trolley and track to minimize space requirements while delivering stable, virtually maintenance-free operation. Offering the flexibility of being mounted on the ceiling or floor and configured in straight, C-, S- or L-shaped designs, the new track system is Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) ready with no updates or retrofits required – just the addition of the virtual interface box.

The TeleGlide TG4M is fully servo controlled to provide accurate positioning and repeatable motion. It offers a trolley load capacity of 200 pounds and is compatible with Telemetrics pan/tilt heads, extendable camera mounts and control systems. Custom track lengths and cable management systems are also available.

The Telemetrics APTS is a revolutionary, scalable, configurable and extremely reliable Presenter Tracking System based on Magnetic Field Telemetry and Computerized Tracking. This advanced technology allows simultaneous multiple-camera tracking of one or several presenters. Installation is as simple as plug-and-play, and the APTS does not require line of sight between the presenter and the receiver.

The RCCPO-1-LGS robotic camera control panel software is ideal for legislatures and other government bodies to achieve maximum on-air results with minimum staff. The system provides unified remote control for robotic camera pan/tilt/zoom/elevator/trolley and includes comprehensive camera shading, interface to the legislative conference mic system, a production switcher and character generator. The touchscreen system can display a seating chart and enable up to 16 cameras to automatically pan, tilt, and zoom to active speakers with live video.
