Telecentric Measuring Lenses correct for image clarity.

Press Release Summary:

TML(TM)-HP (High Power) lenses, offered in 1x, 2x, and 4x magnifications, correct perspective errors that yield variations in magnification through depth of field. While all models feature non-focusing mechanical design that offers adjustable iris control, 2x and 4x models also feature double-telecentric design to promote image sharpness. Front filter thread is offered for addition of filters, polarizers, or illumination.

Edmund Optics Introduces Telecentric Measuring Lenses

July 31, 2006 -- Barrington, NJ. Edmund Optics presents a new line of TML(TM)-HP (High Power) Telecentric Measuring Lenses. Telecentric lenses correct perspective errors that yield variations in magnification through the depth of field. Therefore, these lenses are ideal for both on-line and off-line production environments that require accurate measurements. Edmund has designed this series of lenses to specifically replace lenses that give inaccurate or inconsistent readings.

TML(TM)-HP (High Power) Telecentric Measuring Lenses offer a quality, compact, cost-effective solution for replacing standard lenses with fixed focal lengths. These telecentric lenses build on Edmund Optics' industry established TML Telecentric series, offering additional features including smaller fields of view, a high numerical aperture, and higher magnifications of 1X, 2X, and 4X. The 2X and 4X models also feature a double-telecentric design, giving the sharpest image while minimizing errors for the most accurate measurements.

The simplified non-focusing mechanical design offers adjustable iris control. A standard C-Mount camera interface is optimized for adaptability on ½" camera sensors. A front filter thread is offered for the addition of filters, polarizers or various types of illumination.
