Tele Atlas and SpotScout Announce Collaboration

BOSTON, Aug. 21 // -- Tele Atlas®, a leading global geographic content provider, and SpotScout, Inc., a mobile application software company creating a virtual, real-time mobile marketplace for buying and selling parking spaces, announced today that they plan to collaborate to deliver a parking availability solution based on Tele Atlas' digital map data.

SpotScout's software solution is designed to help drivers find information about available parking spaces via a mobile information network. Combined with Tele Atlas' highly accurate and up-to-date digital maps, subscribing mobile navigation system users will be able to quickly "spotscout" for and reserve a parking space that a "spotscaster" near them owns, leases or plans to vacate.

"SpotScout is building a unique mobile social networking tool," said Jay Benson, Tele Atlas Vice President of Business Development. "We are collaborating to deliver useful content that helps people make even greater use of location-based technology and eliminate a main source of frustration for those living in and traveling around populated metro areas."

SpotScout CEO Andrew Rollert said the company is excited to collaborate with the leading supplier of geographic content for mobile devices and applications. "Tele Atlas has supported our early efforts and is working with us to ensure our market application has the best foundation of up-to-date street data that accurately directs drivers to a precise parking location so they can quickly be on their way."

About SpotScout
Founded in 2004, SpotScout has developed a system that enables individuals and communities to solve their local parking problems by creating a virtual marketplace for parking information. The SpotScout network is accessible from any web enabled device, including mobile phones, for 'on the fly' information and the ability to reserve a space before arriving at the intended destination. SpotScout brings Web 2.0 to the parking industry, creating a unique system that increases traffic flow efficiency by connecting parking supply with parking demand.
