Tektronix Integrates Psytechnics' Speech IP Monitor with Unified Assurance


Integration Provides Customers with Industry-Leading Network Assessment and Service Management Capabilities for IP Networks

BEAVERTON, Ore., Sept. 19 / -- Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE:TEK), a leading worldwide provider of network management and diagnostics products, announced that it is integrating the Psytechnics Speech IP monitor (PSI) with the Tektronix Unified Assurance (UA) solution for IP networks. The Unified Assurance offering from Tektronix is the industry's most scalable solution for real-time management of service quality and delivery in large-scale carrier IP networks, and is deployed in major IP networks throughout the world. The integrated solution provides industry- leading network assessment and service management capabilities for IP networks, enabling more effective deployment of resources by service providers and better service for customers.

Overall network efficiency can be improved through continuous network assessment. Monitoring of calls over the VoIP network highlights problems that can be rectified quickly, often before customers have even noticed. It produces a highly accurate quality score which is representative of customers' perceptions of quality. PSI also provides a complete range of diagnostic information to help quickly identify and rectify problems and improve efficiency.
