Tehuti Networks Partners with AMCC, Molex and Fulcrum Microsystems to Demonstrate 10GbE Backplane Ecosystem at Intel Developer Forum San Francisco 2007

Demonstration to produce a comprehensive data traffic simulation of streaming video

AUSTIN, TX - September 18, 2007 - Tehuti Networks, a semiconductor company providing 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) single-chip, low-power network TCP/IP controllers, will participate with AMCC, Fulcrum Microsystems and Molex in a public demonstration showcasing a 10GbE Backplane Ecosystem in Tehuti Networks booth #630 at Intel Developer Forum San Francisco 2007, September 18-20 at the Moscone Center West.

The demonstration consists of a Tehuti Networks TN3016-D controller that will transmit data packets to an AMCC QT2055 evaluation board. A 10 Gigabit per second (Gbps) signal from the AMCC board will be sent across the Molex I-Trac reference backplane to an AMCC/Fulcrum reference switch. The Fulcrum switch will forward the data to a second Tehuti Networks controller. The result will be a complete end-to-end server, backplane and switch 10 Gbps solution with streaming video outputs.

"Tehuti Networks is pleased to participate in a real-world application demonstration of 10GBASE-KR backplane Ethernet with networking industry leaders including AMCC, Molex and Fulcrum Microsystems," said Blaine Kohl, vice president of marketing and sales, Tehuti Networks. "Not only is Tehuti Networks a proponent of 10GBASE-KR, but our small-footprint and low-power controllers are leading the way for next-generation backplane Ethernet applications."

The Tehuti Networks TN3016-D is a dual-port 10 GbE TCP/IP controller optimized for applications sensitive to power and price and is targeted for server network appliances. The PCI Express controller has two high-speed 10 Gigabit XAUI interfaces.
