Tegile Showcases Line of Virtual Data Storage Systems at Vmworld

Zebi hybrid arrays provide superior value for VMware customers

NEWARK, Calif. – Tegile Systems, a leading provider of hybrid storage arrays for virtualized server and virtual desktop environments, is showing its full line of Zebi hybrid storage arrays in booth #1928 at VMworld 2013 in the Moscone Center in San Francisco August 25-29.

Tegile Zebi arrays leverage the performance of SSD and low cost per TB of high capacity disk drives to deliver up to seven times the performance and requiring up to 75 percent less capacity required than legacy arrays. Zebi hybrid arrays combine Tegile's patented MASS technology with high performance DRAM, solid state flash, Intel Xeon processors and high speed Ethernet or Fibre Channel, resulting in higher capacity and significantly higher performance. Maximizing capacity, on-the-fly de-duplication and data compression enable more hosted virtual desktops for a lower investment in storage and network infrastructure.

Tegile's systems are purpose built for server and desktop virtualization to help customers efficiently scale their infrastructure without the cost and complexity found with traditional storage. Tegile has integrated its solutions with VMware to provide superior value for VMware customers including those using VMware® vSphere™, a leading data center virtualization and cloud platform; and VMware View™, which modernizes desktops and applications, bringing them into the cloud. Tegile is a VMware Technology Alliance Partner.

"We are excited about the opportunity to show our full line of Zebi storage arrays to those attending this year's VMworld in San Francisco," said Rob Commins, vice president of marketing, Tegile Systems. "Whether implemented in desktop or server virtualization scenarios, our Zebi arrays allow enterprises to better address the unique challenges of VMware environments by delivering massive performance using significantly less capacity than legacy arrays. Those interested in learning more about better leveraging their storage and networking resources within virtualized infrastructures are sure to find Tegile's booth among the not-to-be-missed ones at the event." Tegile Systems won "Best of Show" at VMworld 2012 and is the running for the 2013 award. VMworld 2013 is the industry's largest virtualization and cloud computing event.

With more than 300 unique breakout sessions and over 250 exhibitors, attendees will have unparalleled access to the knowledge and tools they need to master the new cloud landscape and transform their business. Those interested in learning more about VMworld can visit: www.vmworld.com

About Tegile Systems

Tegile Systems is pioneering a new generation of enterprise storage arrays that balance performance, capacity, features and price for virtualization, file services and database applications. With Tegile's Zebi line of hybrid storage arrays, the company is redefining the traditional approach to storage by providing a family of arrays that is significantly faster than all hard disk-based arrays and significantly less expensive than all solid-state disk-based arrays.

Tegile's patented MASS technology accelerates the Zebi's performance and enables on-the-fly de-duplication and compression of data so each Zebi has a usable capacity far greater than its raw capacity. Tegile's award-winning technology solutions enable customers to better address the requirements of server virtualization, virtual desktop integration and database integration than other offerings. Featuring both NAS and SAN connectivity, Tegile arrays are easy-to-use, fully redundant, and highly scalable. They come complete with built-in auto-snapshot, auto-replication, near-instant recovery, onsite or offsite failover, and virtualization management features.
