Technipower Receives Instant Solar(TM) Certification

Technipower Systems, Inc., announced today that the design of its Instant Solar PV system has been professionally certified for typical wind loading conditions encountered in the U.S., ranging through 105 miles per hour.

"We are pleased to achieve this milestone," said Peter W. DeVecchis President of Technipower. "This certification will accelerate our effort to sell the system to a market that is increasingly asking for this exciting, clean technology. Instant Solar is poised to revolutionize the market for 1 to 10 kW ground mounted solar electric systems. We are bringing this to market at the most opportune time."

In addition to marketing Instant Solar to provide green, reliable power to homeowners, schools and businesses, Technipower is enhancing its grid-tied Instant Solar product for use in off-grid applications such as field offices, power tools, lighting and water purification. Working with New England-based, educational institutions, Technipower is using Instant Solar for both the production of green power as well as an education and training platform for students and the building trades. The program, which includes class room teaching tools and a state of the art monitoring systems to provide historic and real-time performance data, allows educators and job trainers to communicate the performance and value of a PV technology for the user and for society.

Devecchis added that Instant Solar has great application in emergency and disaster response applications such as the earthquake in Haiti and similar natural events but can also be used for camps, cottages and to power outdoor events.

Instant Solar is a ground mounted solar PV system consists of pre-engineered, factory assembled and easy-to-install PV module arrays coupled to an AC Inverter and a web-based, monitoring system. The system will be mounted on the ground on the school facilities.
