Teamprise Announces 3.0 Release and New Pricing Options

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 18 / / - EclipseCon 2008 - Teamprise today announced the availability of Teamprise 3.0, its latest release of client applications providing Java and cross-platform development teams with full access to the application lifecycle management features of Visual Studio 2008 Team Foundation Server. Product demonstrations are being given by Teamprise and Microsoft while co-exhibiting at EclipseCon 2008. In addition to the release, Teamprise also announced a new pricing structure which provides customers with greater flexibility in purchasing the product.

"The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to see Teamprise continuing to bring the value of high-end application lifecycle management to the Eclipse community and bridging the gap to other platforms and solutions", said Mike Milinkovich, Director of the Eclipse Foundation. "The Teamprise 3.0 Plug-in for Eclipse and Microsoft's Visual Studio Team Foundation Server combine to offer a seamless, robust solution for Eclipse development teams."

The Teamprise Client Suite consists of three Java-based applications - a plug-in for the Eclipse IDE, a cross-platform Explorer-style GUI application, and a command-line client. All three applications communicate directly with the Visual Studio Team Foundation Server and are completely cross-platform, running on operating systems such as Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X, and Windows. New features added to the Teamprise 3.0 release include full integration with Team Build and support for Check-in Policies. Additional product information can be found on the company's website, http://www.teamprise.com/.

In addition to the release of Teamprise 3.0, the company also announced new pricing for the product. Previously, the Teamprise clients were only available as part of the bundled Client Suite, but beginning with 3.0, customers can now purchase individual clients based on their needs. For example, developers requiring only the Teamprise Plug-in for Eclipse can now purchase that client for only $199. In addition, the cost of the Client Suite has also reduced for smaller teams. Full details on the new pricing structure can be found on the company's online store.

"We've seen a growing demand from our customers for the ability to purchase individual client types, such as the Teamprise Plug-in or command-line client," said John O'Neill, VP of Sales at Teamprise. "Our new pricing structure provides the greatest level of flexibility in purchasing and makes our product offering more affordable than ever for anyone wanting to get started using Teamprise and Team Foundation Server."
