Custom Engineered Tapes Formulated to Meet Special Requirements



Custom engineered tapes that can be formulated to solve specific convert-ability and process problems for automotive, aerospace, medical, industrial, marine, and electronics converters and OEMs are being introduced by Tyco Adhesives, Specialty Tape Group, of Norwood, Massachusetts.

Tyco custom engineered tapes are formulated with the appropriate combination of materials, thickness, flexibility, adhesion, and release characteristics to meet specific customer application and process needs. Products include acrylic-, rubber-, polyurethane- and silicone adhesives, heat laminable films,
flame-retardant synthetic and butyl rubbers, and various backing materials made into single-, double-, or custom-coated products and transfer films.

Featuring specific properties such as high heat-, moisture-, UV-resistance and permanent adhesion or residue-free release, Tyco custom engineered tapes can be developed to bond with dissimilar materials including foams and sponges and coincide with a process such as die- or kiss-cutting. Finished products are supplied as 54" or 60" master rolls.
