Improved 3M 'L' Clip Applicator Saves Time and Money
St. Paul, Minn. - August 12, 2005 - 3M announces its next generation "L" clip tape applicator. The semi-automatic 3M-Matic(TM) S-867 instantly applies 9 to 36 mm high-performance Scotch® Tapes at speeds up to 50 "L" clips per minute, providing a secure box seal while increasing production throughput.
Design improvements eliminate the lubricator, simplifying operation and reducing maintenance. A redesigned control panel deters operator tampering so operation is more consistent. Controlled tape leg length prevents waste and durable buffing rollers assure secure tape closure even close to corners.
The 3M-Matic S-867 applies Scotch filament tapes, high-performance Scotch box sealing tapes, and Scotch strapping tapes to eliminate the set time and waste of water-activated packaging tape.
