Tanks offer spring-release feature.

Press Release Summary:

Spring Release Tanks are manufactured in 100% homogenous polypropylene, PVC, and CPVC. Spring release allows tanks to be manufactured in larger sizes since thermal expansion is not a design factor. Insulated co-polymer unit that operates continuously at temperatures below 32°F is also available. Tanks measure up to 110 ft long and 15 ft deep. They are designed for applications such as anodizing, pickling, wire phosphating, and etching.

New "Spring Release" Technology Adds Flexibility, Reduces Costs for Large Tanks

October 14, 2002 Owosso, MI. Tri-Mer Corp. a leading manufacturer of polypropylene, PVC and CPVC tanks, has introduced a proprietary optional Spring-Release feature which compensates for the thermal expansion factor in all process tanks that are 50' and longer in length.

The Tri-Mer Spring Release Tank was engineered specifically for applications such as anodizing, pickling, wire phosphating, etching and other applications (such as those that use nitric and hydrofluoric acids) where the best alternative is a non-corroding plastic tank that is heated.

The spring release allows tanks to be manufactured in significantly larger sizes than has been practical before, because thermal expansion is no longer a design factor. As a result, where multiple tanks would have been necessary in the past, a single process vessel can fulfill the requirement, at far lower cost. Depending on the design, significant floor space savings can also be realized.

Tanks with the new Spring-Release option are manufactured in 100% homogeneous polypropylene, PVC or CPVC. An insulated co-polymer unit, designed to operate continuously at temperatures below 32°F is also offered.

To insure the integrity of all of its tanks, Tri-Mer uses programmable high-temperature extrusion welding, and a proprietary bending system which eliminates corner welds - and the structural weaknesses that are associated with them. Tanks can be supplied with temperature controls and alarms, custom hoods and ducting, scrubbers and other accessories.

No liner is ever required on any Tri-Mer plastic tank. Sizes are available to 110' and longer, and up to 15' depth, and custom shapes can manufactured to meet specific site limitations. Applications assistance is available.
