Talley Machinery Features UL-Certified Inverter Cabinet to Support Safe Operation of Flatwork Ironers

Optional, UL-Listed Drive To Be Shown at Clean '13, Booth #2903

Greensboro, NC:  Laundry parts and equipment manufacturer Talley Machinery Corp., Greensboro, N.C. (www.TalleyMachinery.com), features inverter drive cabinets that meet Underwriters Laboratories testing requirements as an option to help support the safe operation of flatwork ironers. To be shown at Clean '13, booth #2903 in New Orleans, La. on June 20th, the inverter drive cabinet earned UL-certification under UL 508A, the Standard for Safety of Industrial Control Panels, enabling laundry operators to meet an increasing number of state mandates requiring electrical installations to meet UL standards. The UL listing documents a high level of quality and instills confidence in workers operating and maintaining the laundry machinery.

Installed to date on a variety of Hypro, Sylon, Super Sylon and Streamline flatwork ironer models from American Laundry Machinery, Inc., and on several Troy Laundry Machinery flatwork ironers, the UL-certified inverter cabinet serves as the foundation of the company's soft-start inverter drive system. The ironer system gradually increases the speed at startup over a period of several seconds to eliminate parts wear while reducing energy consumption and cutting electric bills. The UL-listed inverter cabinet may be retrofit onto ironers while in plant or added to ironers during remanufacture at the Talley Machinery facility.
