MRC® Stainless Steel Take-Up Frames Promote Correct Conveyor Belt Tension

MRC® stainless steel take-up frames for use in food-industry conveyor systems are designed to provide support for conveyor shafts and deliver correct conveyor belt tension while withstanding frequent washdowns and harsh food-industry chemicals. Their sturdy, single-piece construction and ability to resist corrosion makes these frames ideal for meat, poultry, fruit, vegetable, and beverage operations.

The absence of narrow gaps or crevices in their design prevents trapping of food contaminants that could adversely affect systems. Side-and-bottom openings facilitate quick draining during washdowns. Overall, the frames are compatible with the stringent sanitation requirements of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) programs.

MRC stainless take-up frames are available in two styles (wide and narrow) and in a range of frame sizes. They can be installed securely and easily to conveyor systems (typically at the idler end) with four mounting bolts.

Frames can be equipped with Marathon® Series Composite Mounted Bearing Units. These feature a lightweight thermoplastic housing to resist corrosion from water, citric acid, cleaning agents, and most other food-industry chemicals. A double-protection sealing arrangement protects against wet and dry contaminants. Units are lubricated for life with a USDA food-grade grease.
