StringTach(tm) fasteners increase perceived value of apparel, footwear, jewelry and specialty products
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--A new innovative tag attaching system that enhances the visual appeal of all types of merchandise is now available from Avery Dennison Fastener Division. The product, called the AVERY DENNISON(tm) StringTach(tm) Tag Attaching System, securely and attractively fastens brand, product care and price tags to apparel, footwear, jewelry, eyewear, handbags and leather goods. Among the potential product applications are men's and women's suits, dress shirts, casual wear, golf attire, watches and sunglasses.
The AVERY DENNISON(tm) StringTach(tm) Tag Attaching System consists of a thread section made of strong, supple polyester material integrated with a molded plastic head at one end and a molded plastic tail at the other. StringTach(tm) fasteners are attached by manually inserting the tail section into the head section, forming a secure loop.

Advantages over String
The AVERY DENNISON(tm) StringTach(tm) Tag Attaching System has several advantages over the major competing fastening method, string. StringTach(tm) fasteners are more reliable than string, which can loosen and come undone. In addition, attaching tags with string is more labor-intensive and time-consuming than employing StringTach fasteners. Also, string is sometimes attached via pins, which can be dangerous for consumers to remove.
AVERY DENNISON(tm) StringTach(tm) fasteners are available in standard lengths of 4.7 inches (120 mm) and 7.9 inches (200 mm), and in either black or white. The fasteners can also be ordered in other lengths and in special colors that match the colors of a brand's logo or its merchandise.
