Tackle the Toughest Cleaning Challenges with Vacuums from Nilfisk-Advance America

Vacuums are designed to increase productivity and prevent cross contamination.

MALVERN, Pa., Sept 15, 2006 - In response to the specific challenges of the powder coating industry, Nilfisk-Advance America will exhibit several lines of its powerful industrial vacuum cleaners at Powder Coating 2006 (September 19-21, Indianapolis Convention Center, Indianapolis, IN, Booth #1125).

Because powder paint particles are electro-statically charged, they tend to cling to spray booth walls, floors, and equipment, making clean-up a time-intensive task. Nilfisk's CFM A17, CFM 217 and SL Vacs all have the built-in power needed to quickly and efficiently collect these powders, dramatically shortening the time it takes to clean the booth between runs. Plus, the efficient filtration system in each vacuum ensures that powders are safely contained, effectively increasing productivity while preventing cross-contamination and color bleeding.

The CFM A17, a powerful compressed air vacuum cleaner, operates virtually maintenance free for extended periods of time due to its lack of moving parts and high-efficiency filtration system. The system features a series of filters that trap increasingly smaller particles as they travel through the vacuum, including a large polyester main filter with 21 square feet of surface area to prevent premature clogging.

The CFM 217 has many features of a large industrial vacuum, but is very compact and portable. Its swivel locking castors allow for easy transport in tight spaces, and its external filter shaker mechanism allows for quick and easy purging of the main filter, keeping it free of clogging dust, and maintaining the vacuum's performance.

Designed to meet the twin concerns of cost and performance, the SL Vacs feature solid construction and strong performance at an affordable price, making them a cost-effective solution for many companies. These vacuums simultaneously address the precise cleanliness standards of powder coaters and also tackle the health and safety concerns of employees. And they effectively reduce the overall cost of cleaning through greater efficiency levels.

For each of these models, an optional HEPA* filter ensures that up to 99.999% of powders and dust - down to and including 0.3 microns in size - is retained within the vacuum rather than exhausted back into the air. A clean exhaust stream ensures that workers are protected from inhaling or ingesting the lead oxides, iron oxides, titanium-based powders, and other toxic substances introduced during powder coating.

Each of the three models showcased at Powder Coating 2006 continues Nilfisk-Advance America's tradition of product excellence; combining attention to detail, careful ergonomic design, and the availability of a wide range of accessories.
