Fette Introduces Fully-Contained, Wash-in-Place Tableting System at Interphex 2003



Available on three tablet press models, the system offers enhanced safety, efficiency and cleanliness

ROCKAWAY NJ - Fette, a leading manufacturer and supplier of tablet presses for both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical applications, will introduce a new full-containment Wash-In-Place (WIP) tableting system at Booth # 437 at Interphex 2003, March 31 to April 2 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Featuring Fette's proven reliability and advanced technology, the WIP tablet presses are integrated into a complete system that includes everything from an alpha-beta valve; to tablet press; to deduster; to metal check; to automatic tablet check; to tablet bin...all contained with isolators in a single system in one process room.

"Fully-contained, Fette's WIP system eliminates the need for space suits, enhances production safety, and does away with the need to open the tablet press or any other area of the system to remove parts prior to the wash cycle," explained Rich Derickson, Vice President of Sales & Operations for Fette America.

Fette also debuts new i-Series of enhanced machines, including the 4090i, capable of producing over 1.5 million tablets per hour.

Featuring quieter, simplified operation, the new i-Series includes model numbers 1200i, 2090i, 3090i and the world's highest-output tablet press, the Fette 4090i. "With a maximum output of over 1.5 million tablets per hour; multiple tooling options from 32 to 113 stations and from 6mm to 59mm tablets; single-, double, and triple-layer production capability; and bi-layer (tablet in tablet) production with core insert, the 4090i is the flagship of Fette's new i-Series line and a prime example of some of the most advanced tableting technology on today's market," explained Derickson.
