T-Online France Deploys Comptel Provisioning and Activation Solution

- Leading Broadband Service Provider Uses Comptel Solution for Triple-Play Service Fulfilment
Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), the leading vendor of dynamic
Operational Support System (OSS) software, announced today that T-Online
France, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, has deployed Comptel's Provisioning
and Activation solution. Comptel's solution is as part of T-Online France new
automated fulfilment solution for their triple-play services - voice, data
and video over their broadband network.
T-Online France, which offers services under the "Club Internet"
brand, has had its own broadband network since 2005, and has over 1
millions subscribers. With the growth of triple-play services, and in
particular planned launch of IPTV and video-on-demand (VOD) in June 2006,
T-Online France decided it needed a new fulfilment solution, to replace
existing in-house solutions.
Mr. Claude Glacet, CIO explains: "We chose Comptel, because we
needed a state-of-the-art Commercial-Off-The-Shelf provisioning and
activation solution that would could be deployed fast, and evolve to meet the
demanding requirements of triple-play services. Time-to-market is fundamental
to us, as this is what helps us achieve leadership as a broadband service
provider."
The Comptel Provisioning and Activation Solution is a complete
solution that covers all the processes from accepting an order to activating
a billable service. Alcatel-Lucent's OSS/BSS and the software integration
team provided operational design and system integration of this project. The
solution is now in place, ensuring services such as video are delivered in a
timely manner to T-Online France's subscribers.
