New T-8 Electrode Offers Low Temperature Toughness



Fort Loramie, OH –Select-Arc, Inc. has introduced a carbon steel, flux cored, self-shielded T-8 electrode (E71T8-Ni1J-H16) designed to deliver excellent low temperature toughness.



Select 78-Ni1 exhibits a smooth globular transfer, exceptional bead shape and easily removed slag. The electrode’s fast freezing slag facilitates weldability in all positions. It provides superb low temperature toughness properties and operates on straight polarity (DCEN) with no external shielding gas.



Select 78-Ni1 possesses the following approvals:



• Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) E491T8-Ni1J-H16

• American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) 3YSA H10

• Det Norske Veritas (DNV) III YMS H10

• Lloyd’s 3YS H10
