T.30 and T.30E Fax Control Protocol Software

Toronto, Canada - GAO Research Inc. (www.GAOResearch.com) has released an updated to its T.30 series of fax control protocol software including T.30 software and T.30E. T.30 software implementing ITU-T T.30 recommendation is procedure for document facsimile transmission in general switched telephone networks. It is targeted for fax applications as a fax handshaking protocol and establishes and manages communications between two fax modems. There are five phases of operation covering call set up, pre message procedure (selecting the communication mode), message transmission (including phasing and synchronization), post message procedure and call release. T.30E software implements the procedure for Group 3 (G3 fax) document fax transmission of continuous-tone color images. T.30E enables the efficient transmission of high quality, full color and gray-scale images over general switched telephone networks and other networks.
The embedded fax software has been integrated and tested with fax data pumps that provide interfaces to PCM data. The fax software is compatible with commonly used processors such as TI C5000 and C6000 series DSPs, ARM processors and ADI DSPs and operates under such operating systems as Windows, VxWorks, and Linux.
