ESCONDIDO, Calif., -- June 23, 2006 -- One Stop Systems' MAX ExpressTM Xeon SHB delivers superior multiprocessing capability using about half the power of previous generation Xeon processors. With a design that departs from the conventional, this high-performance, cool-running board supports two x8 PCI Express links and one x4 PCI Express link instead of the usual lane widths of x16, x8, x4 and x1. An additional x4 PCI Express link is available with One Stop Systems' Expansion Link Board (ELB). Multi-processing architecture on each chip makes the dual-core functionality possible. The new architecture, along with the processors' advanced power management features optimizes the CPU's million of instructions per second which maximizes system performance without generating excess heat.

In addition to its PICMG 1.3-compliance, the MAX Express SHB offers optimized performance via the Intel E7520 chipset and its support of a 667MHz system bus; a chipset configuration that supports two registered DDR-400 memory channels. PCI Express interfaces, with twice the data rates as standard PCI interfaces, provide 4GB/sec connections between the ports of the memory controller hub and external I/O devices or option cards. Expansion capabilities, in the form of primary and secondary SATA ports supporting two independent SATA storage devices, further complement this SHB's innovative design and superior operation.
