Systech Offers Global Visibility and Serialization for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers
Systech Guardian(TM) Seamlessly Shares Production Line Data with Enterprise Systems, Enhancing Packaging Line Visibility and Production-Related Decision Making.
CRANBURY, N.J., June 28 / - Systech International, Inc., leading provider of Packaging Execution Systems (PES) to the pharmaceutical industry, today introduced enhanced features to its plant-level server application, Systech Guardian(TM). In addition to Serialized Product Tracking (SPT) functionality, Guardian enables enterprise-wide visibility of packaging line data, empowering management to make better-informed business decisions.
Guardian collects and seamlessly distributes production line data and business intelligence to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. When aggregated and shared across the enterprise, the data provides management with visible metrics that help improve profitability and manufacturing line efficiencies. Aligning Guardian with corporate-wide improvement initiatives such as OEE, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, operational performance can be continuously improved and bottom line performance can be significantly enhanced.
Guardian - integrated with Systech Sentri(TM) machine vision inspection and Systech Advisor(TM) line management and control solutions - represents a comprehensive Packaging Execution System for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Guardian is capable of supporting multiple Advisor line solutions, and seamlessly communicating with ERP and MES systems via XML schema.
Guardian's SPT solution allows pharmaceutical manufacturers to assign, encode and record EPC serial numbers for both RFID and 2D barcode track and trace initiatives. As a result, manufacturers are better able to limit counterfeiting, reduce diversion and better manage other security issues through the supply-chain by enabling item-, case- and pallet-level serialization.
"For Systech customers utilizing our machine- and line-level solutions, Guardian represents a strategic addition into packaging operations," said Joseph Ringwood, vice president of sales and operations, Systech International. "By offering a plant-level solution that integrates with EPCIS and ERP business applications, we are able to arm manufacturers with the intelligence to achieve protection, optimization and clarity in their packaging environment."
Guardian is a standards-based developed product that is compliant with U.S. Food and Drug Administration 21CFR Part 11 and cGMP, as well as with International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) GAMP guidelines.
