Henkel Loctite Introduces New Loctite® ViperLube(TM) Synthetic Lubricants

Formulated for superior performance in long-life industrial and severe duty applications

ROCKY HILL, CT - September 20, 2002 - Henkel Loctite Corporation has introduced Loctite® ViperLube(TM) Synthetic Lubricants, a new line of lubricants composed of synthetic PAO (polyalphaolefin) base stocks specifically formulated to provide superior protection in the grueling environments associated with long-life industrial and severe duty applications.

ViperLube products outperform and outlast petroleum based and other lubricants by offering exceptional mechanical and thermal stability, high load carrying capability; and excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, and water. All ViperLube products have low temperature properties as well, providing an extended performance envelope for PAO based lubricants.

The ViperLube line consists of a NLGI Grade 2/Severe Duty GC-LB Grease, a 90w Gear Oil, and a 10w Lightweight Oil, and all products in the line are NSF HI rated for incidental food contact. ViperLube products are ideal for severe operating, high-temp, high humidity, and heavy-duty applications in the steel, mining, pulp and paper, power generation, manufacturing, food processing, and similar industries.

ViperLube Grease can be used as a lubricant and protective anti-rust film on bearings, machine parts, and equipment, or as a release agent on gaskets and seals, and is ideal for industrial processes where a wide range of operating temperatures and environments are encountered.

ViperLube Gear Oil extends equipment life, reduces oil changes, and energy costs, and is recommended for gear sets, bearings, circulating oil systems, chains, and worn gear units. ViperLube Lightweight Oil reduces varnish and deposits, reducing the need for replacement parts and maintenance associated with wear and mineral oil deposits. It is recommended for hydraulic systems, rotary screw compressors, and food processing machinery as well as bearings, chains, valves, and more in many industries.

ViperLube Grease is available in an 11 oz aerosol can, 400 gram cartridge or can, and a 3 oz or 1 ml tube; the Gear Oil and Lightweight Oil are available in a 1 gallon bottle.
