Synthetic Lubricant forges difficult non-ferrous metals.

Press Release Summary:

Engineered for those forging high-silicon aluminum alloys, non-graphite, water-based Grade FW-3777 eliminates flash fire and minimizes smoke and undesirable odors in forging applications. It does not build up in die cavities and provides optimal metal movement and anti-solder properties. Product dilutes with water, and there is no settling of concentrate, and no mixing required. When spray-applied, lubricant produces uniform coating.

Original Press Release:

Synthetic Lubricant For Aluminum Forgings

Dylon Industries Inc. has developed Dylon Grade FW-3777 a non-graphite, water-based lubricant with special Heavy Duty E.P. additives. Grade FW-3777 is able to offer the exceptional qualities of a graphite forging lubricant without graphite. This is the only U.S. manufactured synthetic forging lubricant for aluminum with a proven track record.

This unique heavy-duty synthetic lubricant is designed to forge difficult non-ferrous metals. Grade FW-3777 has been engineered specifically for those forging high-silicon aluminum alloys, will eliminate flash fire, and decrease smoke and undesirable odors in forging operations. It provides outstanding metal movement and superior anti-solder properties.

Dylon Grade FW-3777 offers many benefits not found in other synthetics. These include better definition of fine details with enhanced lubrication, increased die life, superior fill, all without the usual fumes or gasses associated with other synthetics or non-synthetic lubricants. FW-3777 has been shown not to build up in die cavities.

Dylon Grade FW-3777 is designed to dilute easily with water, including both cold and even hard water. There is no settling of the concentrate and no mixing is required. Dilution ratios depend on the severity of the job, but are usually 12:1 (twelve parts water to one part concentrate) or greater. Grade FW-3777 can be spray applied to dies. Best results are obtained when the diluted Grade FW-3777 is sprayed by conventional methods. Spraying is highly recommended because it produces the most uniform coatings and better control of metal movement.
