Synthetic Acid Descaler
N-Terpinal RS-DeScaler is a new Synthetic Acid Descaler, designed to dissolve rust, scale and etch concrete for coating systems. This Formulation is buffered to be safe to handle and less corrosive on Metals and Aluminum than most Acid products. Contains no Hydrofluoric Acids or Phosphates.
Applications and Recommendations include:
Light Metal-Flash Rust & Scale: Apply RS-DeScaler directly to the contaminated area by spray or saturated rag. Allow 1-5 minutes to react, then wipe clean. For best results, use an Scotch Bright pad.
Medium-Metal Flash Rust & Scale: Apply RS-DeScaler directly onto the contaminated area by spray or saturated rag. Allow approximately 15 to 30 minutes to react. Then reapply a small amount to wet-out, and then wipe off with an Scotch Bright pad.
Heavy Metal-Rust & Scale: To remove heavy rust and scale build-up, soak parts in the RS-DeScaler solution for one (1) to twelve (12) hours, depending upon the severity
of rust. The RS-DeScaler will work in ambient conditions at (70) Degrees F and lower temperatures will affect the performance. This soaking process will also remove rust in blind openings and completely dissolve the rust.
Aluminum Rust & Scale: Apply RS-DeScaler directly to the contaminated area by spray or saturated rag. Allow 1-5 minutes to react, and then wipe off with an abrasive Scotch Bright pad. Afterwards rinse off with water to remove any chemical residue. Do not soak aluminum for more than 30 min., as light etching may occur.
Cast Iron (white Rust): Apply RS-DeScaler directly to the rust for 5 min., wipe of with a non-abrasive pad. If rust is heavy, soak for one hour and then check for the percentage of rust removal. Repeat if necessary.
Metal Phosphate & Cleaning: The decaling process will be more affective on a clean surface, remove excess dirt and oils with RS-Degreaser. The RS-DeScaler will provide a low level of metal phosphate protection, for additional phosphate protection use RS-Inhibitor as the final rinse.
Concrete Cleaning: Spray or pour RS-DeScaler onto the concrete surface, allow
ten to fifteen min. to react. White foam will appear. Afterwards brush or use a pressure washer to remove excess contamination. Repeat if necessary. Rinse thoroughly.
Heavy Concrete Cleaning / Etching: Remove e oils and grease with our RS-DeGreaser. Rinse thoroughly with high-pressure water. Remove the excess water, and then apply RS-DeScaler. Allow a reaction for 5 to 15minutes, high-pressure rinse.
