Syncsort's DMExpress Supports 64-Bit Linux for Intel® EM64T, Providing Improved Performance and Enhanced Processing Capabilities

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Dec. 15 /-- Syncsort Incorporated is pleased to announce that its high-performance ETL product, DMExpress, now takes full advantage of the Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology (Intel® EM64T) on 64-bit versions of Linux. This combination enables 64-bit computing on the server/workstation and desktop platforms, improving performance by allowing DMExpress to address more than four gigabytes of memory.

DMExpress' dynamic memory optimizations will take advantage of the 64-bit architecture to dramatically speed up long running, data-intensive applications, allowing companies to process even larger data sizes within the same batch processing window.

"By supporting Intel EM64T, Syncsort is demonstrating our continued commitment to working with the latest cutting-edge technology," said Dan Regan, Syncsort's executive vice president. "DMExpress' patented algorithms and ETL functionality, coupled with Intel EM64T, will provide our customers with even faster application performance, speeding database loading, staging data for a data warehouse, and other data integration processes."

"Syncsort's support for Intel EM64T in its DMExpress software provides users with a high-performance solution for data-warehousing applications, said Melissa Laird, general manager of Intel's Developer Relations Division. "Syncsort joins the growing number of enterprise applications and software development tools surrounding Intel® 64-bit architectures that bring high-performance solutions to today's technology driven enterprises."

About DMExpress
