New 1.5 Cubic Inch Synchro/Resolver to DC Converters Operate a 400 Conversions Per Second
A series of new miniature (1.5 cu. in) solid state synchro to D.C. Converters, which convert 3 phase synchro or 2 phase resolver inputs into D.C. sine and cosine outputs has been introduced by Computer Conversions Corporation. The new units operate at 400 conversions/second, and offer a peak angular error of ±3 minutes.
The new converters, series SD109, accept the output of a standard 11.8v or 90v 3 wire synchro, or 4 wire resolver and provide two DC voltages. One voltage corresponds to the sine of the rotor shaft angle and the other to the cosine. The input is transformer isolated and balanced line to line. Synchro input quadrature is rejected.
