Synchro/Resolver Simulation Card has programmable channels.

Press Release Summary:

On one 3U cPCI card, DSP-based 75DS2 includes up to 4 independent, isolated, programmable Synchro/Resolver or LVDT/RVDT simulation channels. Each has 16-bit resolution, ±1 arc-min accuracy, and short circuit protected output with 1.5, 2.2, or 3.0 VA drive capability. Requiring +5 and ±12 Vdc power supplies, product operates over 47 Hz to 10 kHz range. Each unit also includes wrap-around self-test, programmable output angle rotation, and optional 3 VA programmable reference supply.

4-Channel Programmable Synchro/Resolver Simulation Card Now Available on 3U cPCI Card from NAI

16-bit resolution and 1 arc-minute accuracy provided at 1.5VA output drive

Bohemia NY -- North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has announced the availability of a 4-channel Digital-to-Synchro/Resolver or Digital-to-LVDT/RVDT Converter on a 3U cPCI card. The DSP-based 75DS2 includes up to 4 independent, isolated, programmable Synchro/Resolver or LVDT/RVDT simulation channels. Each channel has 16-bit resolution, ±1 arc-minute accuracy, and a short circuit protected output with 1.5, 2.2 or 3.0 VA drive capability. The unit requires +5Vdc and ±12Vdc power supplies, and operates over a frequency range of 47 Hz to 10 KHz. Additionally, each unit includes wrap-around self-test, programmable output angle rotation, and an optional 3VA programmable reference supply. This 2nd generation card is a replacement -- for new designs -- for either NAI's 75DS1 or 75DL1.

The 75DS2 provides continuous background Built-In-Test (BIT) on all functions and channels, including reference and signal loss detection. BIT is totally transparent to the user, requires no programming, and doesn't interfere with the normal operation of the card. Each Digital-to-Synchro/Resolver and Digital-to-LVDT/RVDT Converter channel is self-calibrating, without requiring removal of the card. The 75DS2 3U cPCI card is ideally suited for military and commercial programs, including airborne, shipboard, ground mobile and C3I applications.

The 75DS2 is available with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C or 0°C to +70°C. Conduction cooled versions with wedgelocks are also available. Pricing for 100 pieces of the 75DS2 starts at $2,495 each. Delivery starts at 12 weeks ARO.

"The 75DS2 provides our customers with a flexible Synchro/Resolver or LVDT/RVDT simulation 3U cPCI card that reduces size, complexity and cost," said Lino Massafra, VP of Sales and Marketing at NAI. "They particularly like its high accuracy, continuous built-in-test, and superior drive capability."
