Synaptics Announces MobileTouch Solution for Pantech & Curitel


Pantech & Curitel's PT-K2300 Uses Synaptics' MobileTouch to Provide On-Screen Navigation and Quick Access to Carrier Services and Applications

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 30 -- Synaptics(R) Incorporated (NASDAQ:SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications, and entertainment devices, announced today the launch of a MobileTouch(TM) interface solution for Pantech & Curitel's PT-K2300 mobile phone.

The Pantech & Curitel PT-K2300 mobile phone with Bluetooth(R) allows users to make calls via the KTF cellular network when away from home, and the KF wired connection using a Bluetooth chipset docking station when in the home. Synaptics provided a custom-designed capacitive module solution with buttons and LED lighting. In addition to providing intuitive display navigation, the capacitive buttons allow users to quickly launch carrier services, as well as provide access to key phone applications, such as music and messaging.
