Switchgear mounts directly on indoor busbar systems.

Press Release Summary:

Rittal Ri4Power type-tested low-voltage switchgear can be mounted directly on RiLine60 indoor busbar systems using device, connection, or circuit breaker adapters. It can be used to install IEC-compliant switchgear with form separation up to Form 4 and busbar systems up to 4,000 A. Direct access to fully-insulated busbars in relevant functional space enables switchgear's terminal points and corresponding connection cables to be reached quickly from front for maintenance.

RiLine60 power distribution system for Ri4Power Form 2-4
Switchgear Mounted Directly on Indoor Busbar Systems

The new low-voltage switchgear from Rittal - Ri4Power Form 2-4 up to 4,000 A - can now utilise the full potential of RiLine60. Fully insulated 60-mm busbar system technology can be installed in functional spaces (indoor system). Direct mounting of switchgear delivers considerable time and cost benefits, including when performing subsequent modifications.

Herborn, 8 August 2008 - The type-tested low-voltage switchgear Rittal Ri4Power can be used to install IEC-compliant switchgear with form separation up to Form 4 and busbar systems up to 4,000 A both quickly and reliably. The 60-mm busbar system technology Rittal RiLine60 (indoor system) can now also be fully integrated into functional spaces. This means that the advantages of the distribution busbar system can now be used to their full potential in the new Ri4Power Form 2-4 low-voltage systems. This provides users with the best possible prerequisites for quick and easy assembly during both first-time installation and in the event of subsequent modifications.

Switchgear can be mounted directly on RiLine60 indoor busbar systems using device, connection or circuit breaker adapters. Direct access to the fully-insulated busbars in the relevant functional space enables the switchgear's terminal points and corresponding connection cables to be reached quickly from the front in the event of maintenance, without having to spend time locating them behind the mounting plate.

This also creates optimum conditions for the use of thermographic analyses for cost-effective and reliable maintenance.
