Mini-Box units are available in a variety of configurations with push buttons, key switches, toggle switches and LEDs. "These small devices play an important role in access control systems where there is a continual flow of pedestrian traffic in and out of a secured area," said John FitzPatrick, Vice President, Dortronics Systems, Inc. Dortronics Mini-Box Series Push Button & Key Switch Consoles provide a simple, cost-effective door control solution. The units are designed to be easily mounted under a desk, counter or on a wall and limit access to secured areas - or in the case of the 5246 Series - those personnel with a key. A 5236 Series unit provides push button operation of one to three doors. A 5246 Series unit incorporates a key and up to four push buttons for door and other access control device operations. The key on the 5246 Series can be used for a variety of applications including shunting alarms or resetting delayed egress controls and day/night control of automatic door operators. Optional LED indicators may be used in combination with push buttons to indicate door status or key switch position (on/off). Multiple key switches, push buttons and LEDs are available to meet specific applications requirements. Double pole throw switches may be substituted instead of standard single pole switches, and maintained push buttons or toggle switches may also be substituted in place of momentary push buttons.
