Midland Machinery Introduces New Sweeper Attachments

Tonawanda, NY - Midland Machinery, Inc. announces a new line of heavy-duty sweeper attachments. Dubbed Multi-Sweep, these four new models range in size from 46" to 98" sweeping width and offer capacities to one cubic yard.

Multi-Sweep is perfect for quick clean-up of a wide range of applications from construction and industrial sites to road debris, parking areas and lumber yards. They are designed to attach quickly and easily to a wide range of prime movers with forks, including lift trucks, skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, tool carriers and telescoping material handlers. The uniqueness of the fork attachment gives the machine a tremendous speed advantage for set up, especially with the engine-powered models. Multi Sweep for pockets allow the system to be quickly picked up and put to work. This design permits the forks to float up and down. Large diameter, heavy-duty castor wheels guide the unit over the roughest ground, keeping the weight of the unit off of the brushes while maintaining proper brush contact at the surface.

The heavy-duty Multi Sweep is available in widths of 46", 59", 80" and 98" and features debris-collecting hoppers of 9.5, 14.0, 25.5 and 31.8 cubic feet, respectively. These large bins are designed for collection and easy dumping of debris into a container, truck or collection area. Discharge is controlled directly from a lever in the cab.

A field-proven mix of 50% wire/50% poly rotating sweeper brushes pick up anything from fine granular materials to construction debris and mud. The 22" diameter brush height adjusts quickly for proper ground contact, wear reduction and jobsite conditions and the long-lasting brush wafers are easy to change when necessary.

The direct drive sweeper motor is powered by a PTO through the hydraulic "wet lines" of the prime mover. Lift trucks may use the side shift valve hydraulics for this purpose. Engine-powered models are available with a choice of Robin gasoline or diesel engines. No hydraulic connection to the prime mover is required. Just pick the sweeper up with any suitably-sized prime mover equipped with forks, lock it to the forks and go sweep.

Other options include a gutter brush, dust-control spray system and a wide variety of towing hitches for other machines including skid steer loaders and ag tractors.
