Original Press Release:

24-Hour Surveillance Imaging with New ProtosV Cameras

13th August 2009, Reading UK

Complementing the existing range of Vista ProtosV cameras, the new Vista ProtosV VPC580CM (240V) / VPC584CM (12/24V) Colour/Mono and VPC580DN (240V) / VPC584DN (12/24V) True Day/Night Cameras, offer all the industry recognised features of the rest of the ProtosV range, but now with additional benefits. These include 580TVL resolution (switching to 700TVL for the VPC580DN/VPC584DN in monochrome - Night mode) for excellent imaging around the clock, and Sens-up, allowing each camera to operate in light conditions down to 0.001Lux.

Representing exceptional value for money and incorporating many features that would normally be found in much higher priced cameras, the new camera additions feature RS485 remote control capability and integrated 4-zone Video Motion Detection (VMD), with a true hard alarm output and remote set up. This allows direct matrix connection and automatic control room display should motion be detected within a monitored scene.

The ProtosV VPC580DN / VPC584DN also feature a moving IR cut filter for use in conjunction with IR lighting. This enables true day/night operation, to enhance imaging sensitivity in monochrome mode and deliver excellent images 24-hours a day. These cameras can be configured to automatically switch on local IR lighting or for IR lamps to switch the camera into Night mode, ensuring that the camera mode matches the available lighting at all times.

Featuring standard composite BNC and UTP video outputs with 'push-in' connectors for quick fitment, the new additions are an ideal choice for both internal and external applications.

"For use within areas of sensitive scene coverage, all models feature programmable privacy zones that ensure areas of sensitive content are screened from operator view," says Mark Pritchard, Vista's divisional director: "With excellent performance across a variety of lighting conditions, these high-performance cameras offer highly detailed image capture around the clock, making them ideal for a wide range of 24-hour surveillance applications."
