New Bosch Megapixel Camera Family: Bringing Ultra High-Definition to CCTV Systems Ideal for Both Hybrid And Digital Video Systems

o High-definition digital imaging up to 3.1 megapixels
o Combine with DiBos DVR and analog cameras to create a flexible hybrid system

Bosch introduces a new family of surveillance solutions offering ultra high-resolution digital imaging and superior system flexibility. Delivering up to 3.1 million pixels in each image, Bosch Megapixel cameras provide sharp, high-quality video with details other cameras miss. A single Bosch Megapixel camera can cover the same area as six standard analog cameras. This results in reduced system, installation and maintenance costs.

The new Bosch Megapixel camera family consists of three models, covering a wide range of customer requirements. The entry-level NWC-0700 model delivers highly detailed color images using a 2 megapixel (MP) sensor. The 3.1 MP NWC-0800 color model gives extra-fine definition, allowing smaller details to be observed at extended viewing distances. These high-definition cameras offer almost seven times the number of pixels found in conventional high-resolution CCTV systems. For complete 24-hour coverage, the NWC-0900 day/night dual sensor camera system provides both a 3.1 MP color camera for daytime use and a 1.3 MP high-sensitivity monochrome camera for low light situations. Switching between the two cameras is automatic and determined by the ambient light levels. All cameras feature digital pan, tilt and zoom, enabling the user to examine any part of the image in closer and high-definition detail.

Bosch Megapixel cameras can be used in both digital and hybrid installations when combined with Bosch DiBos digital recorders. This provides a unique and versatile way of enhancing or extending existing analog systems. The new cameras deliver extra detail where it is most needed, enhancing conventional real-time analog surveillance in especially sensitive or low light areas.

Bandwidth and storage capacity can be optimized using the cameras' adjustable resolution and frame rate. Also, the new Megapixel range incorporates PoE (Power over Ethernet), simplifying installation by eliminating the need for a local power supply.

Bosch Megapixel cameras offer advantages to a very broad range of applications. They are particularly suited to surveillance of wide-area sites such as stadiums, public buildings, city centers and parklands.
