New low-cost processor delivers true surround sound to boardrooms and meeting spaces
AV systems integrators have been waiting for a truly professional surround sound solution that's simple and affordable to implement. Now shipping, the new HD-XSP from Crestron® answers the call.
The HD-XSP provides the features and performance necessary to enable high-definition 7.1 channel audio for virtually any commercial environment. Compact in design, it fits easily in a crowded equipment rack and integrates cleanly with other Crestron systems and AV control equipment. It supports the latest 7.1 digital formats including Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby Digital® Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio™, with advanced HDCP management for trouble-free handling of digital HD content.
The HD-XSP has professional DSP and input/output mixing built in, enabling 2-channel downmix of 7.1 content to a separate stereo zone in the facility. Alternatively, microphones, playback sources, and codec signals can be mixed and played over a room's surround system, as well. The onboard DSP provides equalizers, delays, crossovers, tone control, and compression for various outputs.
The HD-XSP includes full input connectivity for all types of digital and analog sources including Blu-ray Disc® players, HDTV receivers, game consoles, computers, media servers and mobile devices. Additional specialized inputs and outputs are provided to facilitate integration with system switchers, matrix routers, microphone mixers, and teleconferencing codecs. HDMI connectivity allows for video pass through to a downstream display.
Suitable for many residential applications, the HD-XSP provides a cost-effective, compact surround sound processor that's well suited for integration as part of a total home automation and entertainment system.
