Meter-Treater, Inc. (M-Ti) of Lake Park, Florida introduces the newest member to its line of Surge Protective Devices, The TLT-XT Series. All models are listed to UL Standard 497A and provide secondary protection for the customer premise side of the Telephone Company's NID (network interface device).
Models are available for Dial-Up, Leased/Dedicated and T1 applications. The circuitry employed is ultra fast solid state and protects against the harmful affects of transient energies induced on phone lines by lightning, utilities and other sources. Each model is equipped with safety fusing to protect against power line crosses and all units have bypass switches to remove protection circuits from service in the event that fuses open.
The TLT-XT Series is offered with 2 connection interfaces. Hardwire versions provide protection for 1, 2 or 3 pairs (1-3 individual telephone lines) of wires. Each pair can be set to protect a specific application. Modular Jack versions provide protection for a maximum of 2 pairs and each pair can be set to protect a specific application. Operating and clamping voltages are dependant upon the specific application units are employed on.
Units are housed in a rugged UL recognized plastic enclosure suitable for outside installation.
Unit dimensions are 4.250" x 4.063" x 2.375".
