Original Press Release:

New Product Capable of Test Surges to ANS/IEEE C62.41

Souderton, PA-November 13, 2001-AR announces a new addition to its line of UCS500M generators. In addition to testing EFT, surge, voltage dips and drops, the new UCS500M/6A is able to test surge to ANS/IEEE C62.4 1, an important feature, particularly in the manufacture of surge suppressors.

The UCS500M/6A also offers a CRO trigger output for synchronizing the oscilloscope to observe the surge waveform. The unit is smaller and lighter than comparable test products and has been designed for easy use. Specifications exceed the standard requirements so that users can test the design margins of their products.

The UCS500M series generators have proven extremely reliable, and AR has recently extended the warranty on the entire series to three years. The products are part of the EM Test product line, distributed exclusively in the U.S. by Amplifier Research.
