AVX High Power Surface Mount Capacitors Deliver High Frequency Performance
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (July 27, 2004) - Designed for medical and industrial electronics, AVX Corporation introduces the Hi-Q® Series MLC surface mount power capacitors with proven results in high frequency applications. As a part of AVX's Hi-Q family of RF capacitors, these devices are designed to handle high power and high voltage levels for RF applications. The HQ Series MLC features an ultra-low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and dissipation factor at high frequencies.
The capacitors are designed for 600V to 4,000V applications and feature a dielectric strength of 120% of rated WVDC. The device can handle the high power and high voltage levels of RF power amplifiers, inductive heating, high magnetic field environments (MRI coils), and medical & industrial electronics.

The HQ Series capacitors are available in case sizes HQCC and HQCE and feature capacitance values from 6,800pF down to 10pF with tolerances to ±20%. Pricing starts at $0.75 each in quantities of 1,000. Lead times are from stock to 12 weeks.
