NEL Frequency Control Develops 100 MHz Ultra Low Phase Noise Oscillator
Burlington, WI — NEL Frequency Controls, Inc. announced the release of a new, tiny ultra low phase noise OCXO at 100 MHz. The O-CS8-0X Series comes in a 14 x 21 x 6.8 mm surface-mount package. This OCXO offers superior close-in phase noise of -135dBc/Hz and -180dBc/Hz phase noise on the floor.
“Many customers need the low phase noise of our 100 MHz OCXOs but have very limited space requirements,” notes Roman Boroditsky, technology director at NEL Frequency Controls. "Any application that requires instrument grade OCXO performance in an extremely small, slim package would benefit from this new product.”
The O-CS8-0X features an SC-cut crystal and a frequency range of 80 – 120 MHz. Stabilities range from ±50 ppb with temperatures of -55°to 85° C. The Ultra Low Phase Noise oscillator has a Sine wave +17 dBm output. Ideal for instrumentation, radar, high end synthesizers, telecommunication systems and data communications applications, it is available in 5V.
