Supplying Specialty Alloys to Aerospace Primes and Sub-Contractors

Leading Edge Metals Alloys Receives AS9100C Certification:

Leading Edge Metals Alloys (LEMA) received its AS9100C certification. AS9001C includes the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 plus additional requirements for the aviation, space, and defense industries. AS9100C is the 2009 revision of the Aerospace Standard ("AS") containing requirements for establishing and maintaining a quality management system (QMS).

Metals used in the aerospace industry must be light and strong, providing unmatched reliability despite extreme pressure, high heat and dramatic shifts in temperature. Titanium is often the material of choice for both airframes and turbine engine parts. Tungsten is used to make rocket engine nozzles. Invar® and other nickel-iron alloys are used for aircraft instrumentation and precision composite molds. LEMA stocks wire, rod, coil or sheet in varying dimensions to meet your application.

LEMA specializes in stocking or accessing hard-to-find alloys approved for use in the United States. Shipments can be delivered anywhere in the USA within 24-48 hours from time of order. For more information, contact Phillip Guthrie, phil@leadingedgemetals.com
