Pfastship Announces Latest Version Pfastpack Module

Pfastship® Worldwide Logistics, Inc., a world leader in e-commerce solutions for supply chain execution continues to lead with its Pfastpack module and to provide for the growing need as greater speed and accuracy is needed rendering current packing methods obsolete.

Pfastpack(tm) is a module that enables your shipping department to manage what items are being packed in what box. With this information, Pfastship® is then able to process:

- Advanced Ship Notices (ASN)
- EDI 856 Transaction Sets
- Compliance 128 Labels
- Pack Verification
- Line Item Detail (Carton & Pallet Contents)
- Serialized Part Number and Lot Code Verification
- Accurate electronic COD based on carton contents
- International Customs Documentation
- Hazardous Materials Documentation

Advanced Ship Notices (ASN):
The demand for the ASN is increasing rapidly and is no longer exclusive to large and established retail chains. Almost all distribution companies are talking about it if they are not already requiring it. This means that companies must conform if they want to keep in compliance with distribution companies!

What is an Advanced Ship Notice? This notice is provided to your (a) customer at the time an order is shipped. It includes, among other things, how many boxes were shipped, the contents of each box. It also includes the ship to address, carrier and service that the boxes were shipped.

With Pfastpack(tm), items may be scanned or manually keyed as they are packed into a box. Thus, Pfastship® now knows what items are in what box and, if necessary, what box is on what pallet. This information is what we call "Package Detail" and is all we need to properly transmit an ASN via EDI 856 transaction sets.

EDI 856 Transaction Set:
The 856-transaction set is the industry standard for communicating to your customer that an order has shipped and the contents of each individual box for that order.

Pack Verification:
Do you have inventory discrepancies? How much of these discrepancies are due to theft and how much are due to miss-shipments? Pfastpack(tm) will verify that the correct product is being shipped and in the correct quantity as items are packed to a box. This feature will greatly reduce errors and improve your customer relations.

International Documentation:
In knowing the contents of each individual box, Pfastpack(tm) may access your item master files to assist in generating various international customs documentation including: certificates of Origin, Customs Invoice and much more. For additional information regarding International Documents, see our International Documents description.

Hazardous Materials:
Since Pfastship®-2000 contains the knowledge of each individual box it allows Pfastship®-2000 to read the master files to determine if Hazardous Materials documentation may be required for a shipment as well. Pfastship®-2000 will also prevent your packer from packing incompatible items (i.e. Corrosives and Flammables) in a box.
