Sunrise Telecom® Debuts SunSet MTT® ACM+, the Complete Testing Solution for FTTn/x and VDSL

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 16 -- Introduced today, the SunSet Modular Test Toolkit's (MTT) ACM+ from Sunrise Telecom(R) Incorporated (NASDAQ:SRTI), is the industry's first handheld test system designed to qualify copper cables at VDSL frequencies, readying service providers for VDSL triple play deployments. Using the SunSet MTT(R) Advanced Cable Maintenance chassis (ACM+), service providers can complete installations in less time and with greater confidence in the quality of service delivered to customers. In addition, with the ACM+, service providers can gauge the reliability of their service in advance, reducing repeat rates.

"This system further underscores Sunrise Telecom's commitment to delivering the best-in-class solutions to local exchange carriers undertaking fiber to the neighborhood (FTTN) construction, and installation and repair, or any technician who requires equipment for copper testing today and well into the future," said Cyrille Morelle, director of product marketing for Sunrise Telecom. "Our continued focus on delivering the right solutions at the right time to the world's service providers has made Sunrise Telecom a market leader as noted by our 2005 Frost & Sullivan Market Leadership Award for handheld xDSL test equipment."

The ACM+ tests every frequency for FTTN based on fiber to the node and VDSL to the home. In addition, the unit includes optical, IP, and other modules making it the only solution offering complete FTTn/x testing in one package. The SSMTT ACM+ is the only copper test set that supports the VDSL frequency range. This feature enables engineers to test and fully qualify cables for VDSL (VDSL2) technology. In addition, the Dual Trace Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) lets users compare two lines simultaneously, speeding troubleshooting and repair. The flexible design of the SunSet MTT ACM+ allows customers to perform copper testing as well as service testing for an array of services using a single test set.
