Sundyne Offers New Bearing Box for Heavy Duty API Direct Drive Process Pumps


ARVADA, Colo., Feb. 26-- Sundyne Corp., a subsidiary of Hamilton Sundstrand, has introduced a new bearing box design for its line of heavy duty Sundyne API Direct Drive Process Pumps. The new bearing box design meets the API 610/ISO 13709 Type OH3 requirements and is available in Grease Lube, Oil Splash and Oil Mist configurations. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Bearing boxes are typically used to isolate drive units from high temperatures and loads, allowing mounting of Standard IEC, NEMA and special certified motors. The new bearing box design is now available as standard equipment on all Sundyne LMV-800 series pumps. Customers who wish to upgrade their Sundyne pumps with a new bearing box can contact their local Sundyne dealer.

The improved Grease Lube bearing box and new Oil Splash bearing box are available in six configurations and rated up to 100 horsepower (75 kW), 1100 psig (76 bar) and 300.F (150.C). All Sundyne bearings have an L10 life of 25,000 hours minimum to meet or exceed API 610/ISO 13709 requirements.

The Sundyne Heavy Duty API Direct Drive line of pumps includes the LMV-801, LMV-802, and LMV-806 models.
