Sun Chemical to Demonstrate Commitment to Narrow Web Market at Label Expo, Brussels 2009

LONDON, UK - 28 August 2009 - Sun Chemical will be demonstrating its commitment to delivering quality, service and innovation for the narrow web market at Label Expo Europe in Brussels from 23 - 26th September 2009.

Delegates at the conference can expect to learn more about the fully upgraded range of core products within the Solaris® system which offers increased productivity, added value and versatility to narrow web printers.

SolarFlex® Nova provides maximum cure efficiency and trouble-free printing. The ColorSat® dispense system and its associated software will automatically deliver accurate on-demand colour. The silicone-free technology will also allow for easier post-print enhancements. All of this will improve production efficiency throughout the printing process and beyond. The high colour strength will allow the use of finer aniloxes for higher print definition, improved ink mileage and greater colour matching flexibility.

Suncure® Starluxe is the latest UV Offset product range designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding brand owners and end users. The upgraded system offers reliable and robust press performance on a range of papers, plastics and metallised substrates at the highest print quality.

SolarScreen® Whites have new silicone-free and silicone-containing products added to the range, making use of the latest technology to further enhance the performance characteristics of these market-leading products. Faster cure speeds for increased productivity, greater flexibility to meet the extra demands set by thinner gauge substrates and greater receptivity to flexo, letterpress or offset inks when printed in combination.

Sun Chemical will also present Low Migration solutions for improved safety in food and pharma packaging as well as labels which enable narrow web printers to meet regulatory and brand owner demands for sensitive packaging applications.

SunCure FLM is a UV offset range of products designed to print on many substrates. This has been added to the successful SolarFlex LM range of low migration UV flexo products. Completing the package is a range of low migration coatings. Validated by independent laboratories and major food companies, these products provide the narrow web printer with the assurance that their product will meet the toughest migration specifications.

Products and print solutions for high value decorative and security effect printing including high level covert products for brand protection will also be on display.

New and innovative services and solutions targeted at improving all aspects of the graphic work flow and addressing the need for improved sustainability in printing. This will include specific focus on Smart Colour brand colour management and Sun Chemical Consulting services as well as sustainable technology developments.

"As the world's foremost producer of inks, pigments and colour technology, we continually push the limits of efficiency and strive to adopt the best operational practices to create value for our customers," says Jonathan Sexton, Sales Director - Screen and Narrow Web, Sun Chemical. "Sun Chemical will be showcasing this commitment at Label Expo through our range of solutions that are designed to cater for greater demands in the market for safer, more sustainable print solutions for labels and packaging."
