Sun Chemical's SunPak(TM) Diamond Inks Provide Folding Carton Printers with Performance, Productivity and Value

CHICAGO, IL., USA - September 11-16, 2009 - Folding carton printers looking to both enhance productivity and print at high standards can now use SunPak(TM) Diamond inks, a new line of sheetfed offset inks for folding carton package printing that provide "high definition" print resolution, low misting at the highest printing speeds, and fast setting properties that reduce printing waste.

SunPak Diamond inks can be used on all offset sheetfed presses, including high speed and wide format presses. With SunPak Diamond, printers can be assured of high quality printing results on a variety of substrates.

The fast setting properties of SunPak Diamond inks accelerate post-production and significantly reduce waste print, saving customers money and increasing uptime. SunPak Diamond inks are heat resistant and UV coatable offline. The inks can also be laminated and laser imprinted.

When color standards are part of the print specification process, customers that use SunPak Diamond will be in compliance with ISO2846:1 and meet the requirements of ISO12647:2 and GraCol 7 print standards, the highest color standards in the industry.

"Our customers look to us to provide them with solutions that will bring them real value," said Brian Breidigan, Vice President Product Management, North American Inks, Sun Chemical. "SunPak Diamond inks not only produce high standards in print performance, they also reduce downtime, accelerate the post-production process and will ultimately save our customers money. SunPak Diamond delivers the value our customers are looking for."

SunPak Diamond inks contain the maximum level of materials from renewable resources, such as vegetable oils, vegetable oil derivatives and alkyd and rosin based resins creating the level of non-fossil carbon present at about 80 percent according to the method ASTM D6866. Additionally, waste prints on carton board which were produced using these inks can be recycled.
