Eaton Introduces EH360 Water Suction and Discharge Hose for Economical Water Transfer Applications

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced the availability of a new industrial hose water suction and discharge line designed for water transfer applications where an economical but sturdy hose solution is needed. The sizes range from 1 ¼ inch through 8 inches. EH360 hose combines an SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) blended tube and cover with 2 or 4 ply reinforcement constructions depending on the size. All sizes have maximum working pressure ratings of 150 pounds per square inch (psi) with a 3:1 burst design factor meaning they comply with the RMA IP-2 industry specification for water hoses. "Not all water transfer applications are the same," noted Chris Schwab, lead engineer, Eaton's Industrial Hose Business Unit. "Eaton recognized a need for an economical product that stands up to the rigorous performance levels that our customers demand and developed the EH360 to meet that needs. "The SBR blended tube and cover are ideal compounds for transfer of water in applications such as oil and gas exploration, drilling, construction, equipment rental, and many other pumping, suction, and discharge jobs," continued Schwab. "It should not, however, be used in agricultural type applications where fertilizers or pesticides may be present. We recommend our high grade EPDM water hose, Otter, for those more demanding situations." The EH360 hose also features a vivid blue ink printed layline for easy identification, as well as an embossed permanent brand strip for longevity. All sizes are currently in stock and available for purchase through North American distribution. Eaton's Hydraulics Group is a segment of the company's Industrial Sector.
